For me, Inside the NBA has been something I enjoyed more recently. I don't remember watching it while sitting upside down on my couch as a kid after watching Jordan do his thing in the 90's. I remember Shaq's debut with the Magic, breaking the glass. I remember much more than that, but all of it felt like magic.
